There are several religions in the world, with some of them dating as back as centuries ago. It might be correct to say that some of the world’s renowned religions have a lot in common. Christianity and Islam, for instance, share a lot together. However, there is one thing that separates Christianity from all the other religions, including Islam, in which they have a lot in common. Christians base their salvation, not on themselves, i.e. on anything that they do, but entirely on the work of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Following His death and life, Jesus has acquired salvation for everyone who believed in Him. This explains why Christians are fond of stating the fact that salvation is by grace through faith. And that it is a gift that no one should boast. The fact that Christians do not count on their works to gain salvation explains why it stands out from the other world’s religions. And after one has acquired this salvation through their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, they are commanded to spread the Good News to others who have not yet heard about the saving works of God through His son Jesus Christ.
